Try this mouth-watering reverse pan-seared tomahawk recipe, featuring our signature FUMO smoked seasoning. Perfect for impressing guests or treating yourself to a gourmet meal at home.

Ingredients:

  • 1 KG Tomahawk steak (any 1.5 inch steak also works)
  • 1 tbsp FUMO smoked spice, to taste.
  • 1 tbsp olive oil.

Instructions:

    1. Preheat your oven to (300°F) 150°C.

    2. Place the steak in an oven rack and apply a bit of olive oil to the meat, then rub the FUMO smoked spice all over the Tomahawk steak, pressing it in to ensure it sticks. Let the steak sit at room temperature for 30 minutes to allow the seasoning to penetrate the meat.

    3. Transfer the steak to the preheated oven and cook until the internal temperature of the steak reaches 125°F for medium-rare or 130°F for medium, about 45-55 minutes, checking with your meat thermometer every so often. (Wireless thermometer recommended).

    4. Once the target temperature is reached, in a large cast-iron skillet, heat the olive oil over high heat until it starts to smoke. Sear the steak for 2 minutes on each side until a crust forms.

    5. Let it rest for 5 minutes, covered with tin foil to allow the juices to redistribute.

    6. Slice the steak against the grain and serve immediately, garnished with fresh herbs and a sprinkle of FUMO smoked spice.

Enjoy the smoky, complex flavors of FUMO blended with the rich, juicy meat of the Tomahawk steak. This recipe is sure to become a favorite for meat lovers everywhere.
